Kit Oldfield

Looking for creative and interesting people to collaborate with / share ideas and vision so that we can support each other in making great stuff.

Biography

I’ve done a lot of pro theatre, television and multi-media production in Australia, the UK, Europe and USA. People tend to think of me as a writer and a director but I’m also a teacher, motivator, project leader and producer/production manager. You can find a complete resume at http://rubynk.googlepages.com/home
Qualifications

I’m quite good at coming up with absorbing stories and very good at writing scripts. As a director my casting skills are superb and I know how to get the best out of talented performers. I’m always appreciative of the hard slog and attention to detail from creative and enthusiastic crewing demi-gods ;) I am in the process of honing my skills with visual story telling. Music and montage are hugely important to me – both one at a time and together. I am NOT interested in Sci-Fi, Horror or Comedy that isn’t funny (but sometimes you don’t know that until it’s too late, right! I’m always interested in meeting and talking with people with passion – even if it’s a very quiet (almost shy) kinda passion.
Filmography

I’ve been a writer and/or script editor on these shows:
Home & Away / Pacific Drive / Heartbreak High /
The Power, The Passion / Breakers / Neighbours / Prisoner and some others I can't even remember the names of.

I’ve directed and/or produced:
Bouncing Ideas (series of educational TV in UK)
Various DVD and CDrom products for training and corporate clients most of which included big chunks of dramatisations. If you want to know more then ask or read complete resume on

I’m new in Perth and looking for interesting projects to work on and for collaborators - especially people interested in trying out some of the new media stuff. So I'm really into webbie / techie things too. Anything experimental and new.... or trad AND good of course.
